Spencer girls basketball topples Abbotsford

SPENCER – Macie Weber had a season-high 18 points to help the Spencer girls basketball team to a 55-43 nonconference victory over Abbotsford on Tuesday night at Spencer High School.

Lexi Baehr added 16 points and Sydney Kind had 12 for the Rockets, who improve to 11-7 this season.

Abbotsford (12-6) shot just 27 percent (16 of 59) from the field, missed 13 of its 22 free throw attempts, and committed 17 turnovers in the loss.

The Rockets led 25-18 at halftime and built on their lead in the second half.

Spencer’s next game is Friday at Neillsville.
