Spencer softball shuts out Columbus Catholic

SPENCER – Macie Weber hit a home run in a six-run second inning to help push the Spencer softball team to an 11-0 win over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday at Spencer High School.

Courtney Buss and Cinnamin Harwood each had three hits and Weber drove in four runs for the Rockets, who improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus Catholic drops to 1-3 and 0-3 in the Cloverbelt East.

The Dons were held to just two hits.

Spencer hosts Greenwood on Monday and Columbus is at Colby in Cloverbelt East action on Tuesday.
