Spencer softball moves to 6-0 in Cloverbelt East with win at Neillsville

NEILLSVILLE – The Spencer softball team scored twice in the top of the sixth inning to pull out a 4-2 win over Neillsville on Monday at Neillsville High School.

The game was a make-up from a game that was rained out April 28.

Spencer is now 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East, while Neillsville drops to 4-6 and 4-3 in the conference.

Jenna Schober and Mandie Schultz each had two hits for Spencer, and Macie Weber hit a solo home run in the win. Weber also earned the victory on the mound, striking out five and walking four in seven innings.

Spencer plays a nonconference doubleheader at Stratford on Tuesday staring at 4:30 p.m.
