Stevens Point edges Marshfield boys tennis

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won two of the three doubles matches but came up short in a 4-3 loss to Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis dual meet Monday at Boson Courts.

Craig Paulman was the only singles winner for Marshfield, beating Angus Blakeman 6-4, 6-3, at No. 4 singles.

The Tigers’ No. 2 doubles team of Jared Draxler and Ayush Shukla won in three sets, and the No. 3 team of Isaac Houk and Luke Kaiser did not lose a game in its win.

Marshfield (1-1 WVC) is at D.C. Everest on Tuesday.
