MADISON – The Marshfield No. 1 doubles team of Evan Fait and Derek Reckner lost its first-round match at the 2016 WIAA State Individual Boys Tennis Tournament on Thursday, falling to Eau Claire North’s Jackson Lindquist and Nick LaPoint 6-0, 6-1.

Fait, a freshman, and Reckner, a junior, end the season with a 15-4 record after reaching their first state tournament.

Lindquist and LaPoint are now 16-0 and move on to a second-round match Friday morning.

The tournament concludes Saturday with semifinals and the championship matches.
