Marshfield Junior Legion baseball wraps up regular season with win over Plover

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Junior American Legion baseball team wrapped up its regular season with a 10-6 win over Plover on Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.

Plover led 5-0 after three innings before the Blue Demons (24-11) rallied, scoring three times in the fourth and fifth innings, and added four more in the sixth.

Branden Montalvo earned the win for Marshfield, striking out six in a complete-game seven-inning effort.

Devin Toburen had two hits and scored twice, and Mason Coffren had a double, a triple, scored twice and drove in two runs for the Blue Demons.

Marshfield will compete in the Class AAA Junior Legion regional at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point beginning Thursday with a first-round game against D.C. Everest at 2:30 p.m.
