Wausau West tops Marshfield girls tennis in final WVC dual

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team lost two three-set matches and dropped its final Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet of the season to Wausau West 5-2 on Thursday at Boson Tennis Complex.

McKensey Koran defeated Mikahla Klug 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Tylene Dierickx and Alexis Means won 6-4, 6-4, for Marshfield’s two victories.

The Tigers finish the WVC dual meet season with a 2-4 record.

The Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet will be Sept. 29 at Wausau East. West ends up 4-2.
