Marshfield cross country teams finish third at Medford Invitational

MEDFORD – The Marshfield boys and girls cross country teams each finished third at the five-team Medford Invitational on Thursday.

Chequamegon swept the team titles, with Medford finishing second ahead of the Tigers in each group.

Jordan Dzikowich finished third for the Marshfield boys’ top finish, running the five-kilometer course in 17:37.5. Paul Fischer and Jacob Dick also grabbed top-10 finishes for the Tigers. Fischer was seventh in 18:05.0 and Dick took 10th in 18:14.0.

Lilly O’Brien took ninth in 22:13.8 for the Marshfield girls top finish. Sophie Schrodi was 12th in 22:28.5 and Madysen Bohman finished 14th in 22:36.3 for the Tigers.

Marshfield’s next meet is Oct. 8 at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational at the Ridges Golf Course, home of the WIAA state meet.
