Marshfield girls basketball routs Mosinee for first win of season

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls basketball team ran out to a 26-point lead by halftime and went on to crush Mosinee 65-29 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

The win evens the Tigers’ record at 1-1, while Mosinee drops to 1-2.

Marshfield led 38-12 at halftime and held Mosinee to just nine made baskets in the game.

Marshfield shot 51 percent (26 of 51) and was 6 of 12 from 3-point range as nine different Tigers scored in the win.

Ema Fehrenbach had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Jenna Jakobi had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

Marshfield is off until Dec. 9 when it travels to Eau Claire North.
