Marshfield boys basketball loses at De Pere by two

DE PERE – The Marshfield boys basketball team suffered a tough 62-60 loss to De Pere in a nonconference game Friday night at De Pere High School.

The Tigers fall to 2-2, while the game was De Pere’s season opener.

Marshfield will play its home opener against La Crosse Central, and University of Wisconsin recruit Kobe King, on Tuesday night at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Alec Hinson had 16 points and four assists, Seth Anderson added 11 points and seven rebounds, and Grant Michaelis chipped in 10 points for Marshfield.

The Tigers were 18 of 20 from the free throw line, but only shot 36 percent (17 of 46) from the field.
