Abbotsford football player Ethan Kramas has been voted as the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com November High School Athlete of the Month.

The High School Athlete of the Month Award is sponsored by Marshfield Clinic, Cost Cutters Family Hair Care and Burt Trophy & Awards.

Varsity athletes from the following high schools are eligible to be nominated for the award: Abbotsford, Athens, Auburndale, Colby, Columbus Catholic, Edgar, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Marathon, Marshfield, Neillsville, Owen-Withee, Pittsville, Spencer, Stratford and Thorp.

Kramas received 269 of 736 votes cast during voting at MarshfieldAreaSports.com from Dec. 1-7.

Other nominees for the November award were Spencer girls basketball player Lexi Baehr, Edgar football player Alec Hafferman, and Loyal girls basketball player Karsyn Rueth.

Kramas, a senior running back, rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, and caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in the Falcons’ 35-22 WIAA Division 6 Level 3 playoff win over Coleman on Nov. 4. Against Eau Claire Regis in the WIAA Division 6 state semifinals on Nov. 11, Kramas had 74 yards rushing as the Falcons lost 22-14, their first defeat of the season. Kramas finished with more than 1,100 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns this season as Abbotsford had a 12-1 record.

Kramas joins Columbus Catholic volleyball player Kendra Baierl (September) and Columbus Catholic soccer player Nadim Torbey (October) as winners of the award during the 2016-17 school year.
