Marshfield gymnastics team edges Wisconsin Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Emma Haugen took second place in three events and was second in the all-around to help the Marshfield gymnastics team to a 128.875-125.15 victory over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at Lincoln High School.

Wisconsin Rapids’ Tia Dorshorst won all four events and the all-around with a score of 37.05.

Haugen was second in the floor exercise (8.8), uneven bars (8.05), and vault (8.7), to finish second in the all-around with a score of 32.65.

Macey Smith tied Haugen for second in the vault, and Bailey Schmitt was second in the balance beam with a score of 8.15 for the Tigers.

Marshfield is off until Jan. 26 when it hosts Medford.
