STEVENS POINT – Marshfield scored twice in the first period and held on from there, beating Stevens Point Pacelli 3-2 in a nonconference game Saturday at Ice Hawks Arena.

Adam Maki and Ryan Krueger scored in the first period for the Tigers, and Evan Weister added a goal midway through the second period to provide the final margin. Krueger had two assists as well.

A.J. Trierweiler had 15 saves in goal for Marshfield, which improves to 9-11-1 this season.

Marshfield plays another nonconference game Tuesday at Waupaca and finishes its regular season and Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Thursday at Wausau West.
