UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball knocks off UW-Barron in regular-season finale

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team ended a five-game losing streak with a 78-71 win over UW-Barron County on Wednesday night at the Marauder Gym.

The game was the Marauders’ regular-season finale as they are now 7-11 overall and finish 4-6 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division. UW-Barron County is 2-17 overall and 1-8 in the conference.

Joe Estrict made 12 of 18 shots from the field and finished with 26 points to lead UW-Marshfield. Covon Rudolph added 18 points, Devin Klein had 16 points, and Tyler Prust had 12 rebounds in the win for the Marauders.

UW-Marshfield will play UW-Rock County in a WCC playoff game on Feb. 15. The site of the game is yet to be determined as Rock County has not finished its regular-season schedule.
