MADISON – The 2017 WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament concluded Saturday with championship games in five divisions.

Barneveld (26-3) won the Division 5 title, its first in school history, rolling past Shullsburg (25-4) 58-28.

In Division 4, Milwaukee Destiny (26-1) rolled past Darlington (27-1) 76-55 to win its first WIAA boys basketball championship.

Appleton Xavier also won its first WIAA state championship, routing Prescott 73-47. Xavier finishes the season with a perfect 27-0 record.

La Crosse Central won the Division 2 title game, holding off Cedarburg 55-53. It is Central’s second state title, and first since 1925.

Stevens Point (24-4) wrapped up the championship games with a dominating 85-56 win over Hartland Arrowhead in the Division 1 final. The D-1 title is Stevens Point’s third in a row and sixth overall.
