Marshfield boys golf takes team title at D.C. Everest Invitational

WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys golf team won the D.C. Everest Invitational on Friday at Greenwood Hills Country Club.

The Tigers had a team score of 323 to win by six shots over Wauasu West.

Marshfield senior Derek Michalski was meet medalist, shooting a one-under par 71. He had a 31 on the front nine – his second nine of the day – including an eagle on the first hole and birdies on Nos. 4, 6 and 9.

Zach Hanson added an 80, Joe Kirschnik shot an 84, Brendan Schneider had an 88, and Ben Baur had a 91 for the Tigers.

Marshfield plays at the Wisconsin Rapids Triangular, along with Stevens Point, on Monday at Bull’s Eye Country Club.
