Stratford softball cruises past Pittsville

STRATFORD – Kiana Weiler tossed a two-hit shutout, and Brittany Bredemann had four hits and four RBIs as the Stratford softball team crushed Pittsville 24-0 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Hilgemann Field.

Bredemann had two doubles, a triple and scored three times for the Tigers (6-3, 2-1 Marawood South).

Weiler struck out seven and walked one in the five-inning effort to earn the win for Stratford.

The Tigers scored five times in the first and third innings, four times in the second, and 10 times in the fourth to finish off the win.

Stratford plays at Northland Lutheran on Friday.
