Marshfield has four runner-up finishes, takes fourth at D.C. Everest Boys Track Invitational

SCHOFIELD – Marshfield four runner-up finishes and a number of thirds as it finished fourth in the team standings at the D.C. Everest Boys Track & Field Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

Host D.C. Everest won the team title with 193.5 points, well ahead of second-place Eau Claire Memorial (142). Marshfield was fourth out of the five teams at the meet with 117.5 points.

Adam Maki finished second in the pole vault (11 feet, 6 inches), Skyler Theisen took second in the 400 meters (53.55 seconds) and Adam Elhendy-Gunnarsson was runner-up in the 100 meters (11.66 seconds) for Marshfield’s best individual finishes.

The Tigers’ 3,200-meter relay team of Jordan Dzikowich, Paul Fischer, Addison Hill, Nathaniel Phillips also finished second in 8:48.69.

Marshfield had third-place finishes from Dawson Tysver in the pole vault (11-6), Jon Wittman in the shot put (42-6), Elhendy-Gunnarsson in the 400 (53.91), Alex Wehrman in the 800 (2:14.10), Caden Pearce in the 200 (23.91), and the 1,600 relay team of Paul Fischer, Addison Hill, Nathaniel Phillips and Ben Claessens (3:49.40).

Marshfield will return to D.C. Everest for the Wisconsin Valley Conference Relays on Tuesday.
