Columbus Catholic softball loses at home to Greenwood

MARSHFIELD – Greenwood took advantage of seven walks and six Marshfield Columbus Catholic errors to beat the Dons 17-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Greenwood scored multiple runs in all four innings of the game, which was called due to the 15-run rule.

Sophia Mauney had the Dons’ lone RBI.

Columbus Catholic drops to 3-8 and 2-8 in the Cloverbelt East, while Greenwood moves to 13-6 and 9-2 in conference play.

Columbus will play at the Wisconsin Rapids Assumption Tournament on Saturday.
