Columbus Catholic softball splits two at Royal Rumble

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team split a pair of games at the Wisconsin Rapids Assumption Royal Rumble on Saturday.

The Dons lost to Rosholt 7-3 and rebounded with an 11-9 victory over Barneveld. Columbus is now 4-9 this season.

In the win over Barneveld, Maren Seefluth hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with a single, double, triple and two –run home run. She finished with four RBIs.

Ella Schultz earned the win for the Dons, striking out four in four innings.

Columbus plays at Gilman on Tuesday.
