CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team finished 2-3 at the Diocesan Tournament at McDonell High School on Saturday.
The Dons lost to McDonell and Stevens Point Pacelli 2-0, and to Eau Claire Regis 2-1, before sweeping La Crosse Aquinas and Owen-Withee 2-0.
Maren Seefluth had 28 kills and Makenzie Hansen added 16 kills for the Dons. Annie Baierl topped the Columbus defense with 40 digs, and setter Brooke Neider added 56 assists and 25 digs. Katie Hall chipped in nine service aces.
Columbus Catholic hosts Stratford in a nonconference match Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
