Auburndale football tops Rib Lake/Prentice

PRENTICE – The Auburndale football team won its second-straight game, topping Rib Lake/Prentice 21-7 in a Marawood Conference game Friday night at Prentice High School.

The Apaches are now 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Marawood, while Rib Lake/Prentice falls to 1-2 and 0-1 in conference play.

Auburndale hosts unbeaten Edgar (3-0, 1-0 Marawood) on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at Auburndale High School.

The Red Hawks took a 7-0 lead on a first-quarter touchdown run by Colt Logan for 66 yards.

Auburndale responded with a TD pass from Ryan Isaacson to Cale Jacoby to tie the game at halftime, then scored twice in the third quarter to provide the winning margin.

Isaacson ran in from 5 yards and Jacob Peplinski, who finished with 137 yards rushing, scored from the 7.
