UW-Marshfield men’s golf fourth at home meet

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s golf team finished fourth at its home Wisconsin Collegiate Conference match on Friday at RiverEdge Golf Course.

The Marauders had a score of 454. UW-Sheboygan County won the meet with a score of 342, 16 shots ahead of UW-Barron County. UW-Marathon County was third with a 368.

Brandon Lea led Marshfield with an 83, tying for third place overall.

Jordan Taylor had a 115, Jakob Bohman had a 126, and Angus Bump shot a 130 for the Marauders.

On Monday, the Marauders had an incomplete squad of only three golfers at the WOMBAT Junior College Golf Event at the Bull Golf Course in Sheboygan Falls.

UW-Washington County won the tournament with a 354. Lea topped the Marauders with an 85, placing third overall.

UW-Marshfield’s next match is Sept. 26 at Greenwood Hills Country Club in Wausau.
