Marshfield’s Shah, Jensen earn honors as Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament wraps up

MARATHON – Marshfield’s Roma Shah and Isabelle Jensen each earned second-team all-conference honors after finishing in the top 10 in the final standings of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament, which concluded with the seventh leg on Monday at Pine Valley Golf Course.

Shah shot a 50 to finish eighth and Jensen tied teammate Morgan Meyer for 11th with a 55 in the final meet of the tournament. As a result, Shah ended up sixth and Jensen 10th in the final individual standings.

All seven tournaments ended the same, with Stevens Point first, D.C. Everest second, Marshfield third, and Wisconsin Rapids fourth. Point’s Abby Nickel was meet medalist on Monday with a 44 and ended up as the overall individual champion as well.

Marshfield had a score of 222. Anna Weis and Leia Linzmeier rounded out the Tigers’ scoring Monday with 62s.

Marshfield will compete in the WIAA Division 1 regional tournament at Stevens Point Country Club on Wednesday.
