Columbus Catholic boys basketball routs Colby in Cloverbelt East opener

COLBY – Marshfield Columbus Catholic ran out to a 35-point lead by halftime and blasted Colby 90-37 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Colby High School.

The Dons (2-1, 1-0 Cloverbelt East) built a 55-20 lead by halftime on their way to the rout.

Nick Malovrh led four Dons in double figures with 20 points. Jarred Mandel added 18 points, Bryce Fuerlinger had 17, and Ethan Meece scored 12 in the victory.

Columbus Catholic hosts Spencer on Friday.
