Marshfield boys swimming drops home dual to Stevens Point

MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point won 10 of the 11 events to outlast Marshfield 97-72 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield’s lone win came from Jacob Dick, who took first in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:11.73. Scott Thompson was second in the event in 1:19.06 for one of the Tigers’ seven second-place finishes.

Dick was second in the 200 IM in 2:25.14, Nathan Albanito finished second in the 100 butterfly in 1:08.96, and Myles Jensen was second in the 500 freestyle in 5:43.39.

All three of Marshfield’s relay teams also finished second.

Marshfield will compete at the Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday.
