EAU CLAIRE – Keller Wolfe won the 170-pound championship and Auburndale finished in a tie for 12th at the 21-team Eau Claire North Husky Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.
Wolfe improved to 9-0 this season by beating Levi Smith of Eau Claire memorial 14-9 in the 170-pound title match.
Samuel Hasenohrl had the Apaches’ only other top-five finish, taking fourth at 220 pounds. He dropped the third-place match to Logan Peterson of Ellsowrth 6-4.
Ellsowrth won five individual titles and took the team championship by more than 100 points over second-place Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Minn.) Auburndale tied Durand for 12th.
Auburndale hosts Edgar for a Marawood Conference dual meet on Thursday.
