Stratford boys basketball whips Prentice, improves to 7-0

STRATFORD – Vaughn Breit scored 22 points to help the Stratford boys basketball to its seventh-straight win to start the season as the Tigers beat Prentice 62-40 in a nonconference game Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Benjamin Barten added 12 points, and Barten and Breit each had seven rebounds in the victory for the Tigers.

Stratford pulled out to a double-digit lead by halftime, holding a 29-19 advantage, and built its lead from there.

Okley Wrensch chipped in seven points, five steals and three assists for the Tigers.

Stratford plays at Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday.
