Columbus Catholic girls basketball pulls past Gilman

GILMAN – Marshfield Columbus Catholic hit 10 3-pointers, including three in the second half by Addison Baierl, as the Dons topped Gilman 55-52 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Gilman High School.

Baierl scored all 12 of her points on four 3-point baskets, and Morgan Albrecht added 15 points with four more 3-pointers for the Dons, who are now 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus Catholic trailed 25-21 before storming back in the second half, outscoring the Pirates (4-2, 3-2 Cloverbelt East) by seven in the second half.

Hailey Roehl added 12 points for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic plays at Greenwood on Tuesday.
