Spencer girls basketball loses at Colby

COLBY – Colby took over first place in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 62-32 victory over Spencer on Friday night at Colby High School.

Ten different Hornets (7-1, 6-1 Cloverbelt East) scored in the win, their seventh in row since a season-opening loss at Columbus Catholic.

Lexi Baehr led Spencer (1-7, 1-6 Cloverbelt East) with 20 points and Kaily Northup added 10. The rest of the team combined for just two points in the loss, the Rockets’ seventh straight.

Spencer is off until Jan. 9 when it plays at Granton.
