Columbus Catholic boys basketball wins at Wild Rose

WILD ROSE – Three Columbus Catholic players scored in double figures as the Dons pulled past Wild Rose 69-56 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday night at Wild Rose High School.

Jarred Mandel scored 18 points, and Noah Hansen and Nick Malovrh each added 16 points for the Dons, who are now 8-1 after winning their eighth game in a row.

Bryce Fuerlinger and Noah Taylor each added nine points for Columbus in the win.

Alec Vandecastle scored a game-high 26 points for Wild Rose (5-3).

Columbus Catholic returns to action Jan. 5 with a Cloverbelt Conference East Division home game against Greenwood. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com beginning at 7:15 p.m.
