Columbus Catholic boys basketball pulls past Greenwood, wins ninth straight

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team outscored Greenwood by 18 points in the second half to beat the Indians 63-41 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Columbus Catholic led 29-25 at halftime before blowing the game open in the second half, holding Greenwood to just 16 points.

Nick Malovrh had 16 points and Noah Taylor added 14 points for the Dons, who have won nine games in a row and are now 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus Catholic hosts Marawood Conference South Division co-leader Marathon in a nonconference game Monday night at 7:15 p.m.
