Stratford boys basketball slips past Pacelli, improves to 10-1

STEVENS POINT – Stratford had five players in double figures and it held off Stevens Point Pacelli 65-62 in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday night at Pacelli High School.

Stratford improves to 10-1, while Pacelli falls to 7-3.

Benjamin Barten and Chandler Schmidt each scored 13 points, Vaughn Breit added 12, points, Trent Heckel had 11 points, and Okley Wrensch scored 10 for the Tigers.

Schmidt hit all four of his 3-point attempts, and Barten was 7 of 10 and Wrensch was 6 of 8 at the free throw line for Stratford.

Stratford’s next game is next Friday, Jan. 12, at Auburndale.
