Wausau West blanks Marshfield boys hockey

WAUSAU – Wausau West held Marshfield to just seven shots on goal and won 7-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Tuesday at Marathon Park.

Ben Langlois and Sam Techel each scored twice for the Warriors, who remain in first place in the Valley at 5-0 and improve to 10-3-1 overall.

Nick Hahner saved all seven shots in goal to earn the shutout for Wausau West.

A.J. Trierweiler had 58 saves for the Tigers (8-8, 0-5 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Marshfield plays at Chequamegon in a nonconference game Friday.
