Baehr tops 1,000 career points in Spencer girls basketball team’s loss at Granton

GRANTON – Spencer senior Lexi Baehr surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career, but the Rockets dropped their 10th-straight game, losing 39-35 to Granton on Tuesday in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game at Granton High School.

Baehr scored 23 points, making three 3-pointers and 8 of 11 free throws, to move past the 1,000-point mark.

Spencer made just 11 of 72 shots overall, missing 22 of 27 3-point attempts in the loss.

Kristin Strey scored 19 points and Rhiannon Reimer added 14, both making three 3-pointers, for Granton.

Both teams are now 1-10 overall and 1-8 in the Cloverbelt East.

Spencer hosts Columbus Catholic on Friday.
