Marshfield girls basketball drops road game at Wausau West

WAUSAU – The Marshfield girls basketball team dropped to 2-4 in Wisconsin Valley Conference play with a 76-67 loss at Wausau West on Friday night.

The Tigers are now 5-7 overall and 2-4 in the Valley. West improves to 11-3 and 4-2 in conference action.

The game was tied 31-31 at halftime before West erupted for 45 points in the second half to pull away.

Meg Bryan hit five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 19 points for Marshfield. Jenna Jakobi added 15 points and eight rebounds, and Katie Osinski had 14 points.

Tess Hauer had 22 points and Maddie Schires added 20 for West.

Marshfield’s next game is Thursday at Lakeland.
