Loyal knocks off Columbus Catholic girls basketball

LOYAL – Loyal ran out to an 11-point halftime lead and Columbus Catholic couldn’t recover, dropping a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game to the Greyhounds 63-43 on Monday at Loyal High School.

Loyal (5-8, 5-5 Cloverbelt East) led 37-26 at halftime and held on from there, holding the Dons to 17 points in the second half.

Columbus Catholic lost for the third time in its last four games and drops to 9-5 overall and 6-4 in the Cloverbelt East.

Marissa Immerfall had 19 points and Morgan Albrecht added 12 for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic hosts Granton on Thursday.
