STRATFORD – Play continued in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League on Sunday.
Seven games were held in two divisions.
A Division
*Oil Exchange & Auto Repair topped Victory Apparel 56-42. Conner Staab led Oil Exchange with 24 points, while Kyle Davis led Victory with 19 points.
*Kafka Forestry ripped Financial Strategies 81-55. Derek Wojcik had 25 points for Kafka. Nick Sternitzky scored 23 points for Financial Strategies.
*Smazal’s Hunters Choice edged Neva Jean Motel 61-58. Matt Carl led Smazal’s with 18 points, and Lou Ashbeck and Travis Pischel each had 13 for NJM.
*Nutz Deep II won by forfeit over Success Realty.
B Division
*Fairway Mortgage nearly doubled up After Hours, winning 62-32. Brad Weiler had 13 points for Fairway, while Trevor Gorman topped After Hours with 10 points.
*Resource Recovery defeated Lob City 64-41. Barry Messman had 18 points in the win for Resource. Mike Rindfleisch and Frank Searer each scored 10 for Lob City.
*Weilers C-Stories slipped past Chaps & Friends 46-45. Alex Marth had 25 points to lead Weilers. Keith Clater had a league-high 28 points for Chaps & Friends.
*Stratford Sign Co. edged LJ’s Sport Zone 43-41. Derek Austin scored 15 points for Stratford Sign, and Eric Custer led LJ’s with 11 points.
