Wisconsin Rapids shuts out Marshfield boys hockey

MARSHFIELD – Wisconsin Rapids goalie Tanner Reany saved all 25 shots sent his way and Colton Flammini hit for a hat trick to lift the Raiders to a 5-0 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey game Tuesday night at the Marshfield Area Ice Arena.

Cobe Acker and Flammini scored in the final 5½ minutes of the first period, and Flammini added a pair of goals in the third period for the Raiders (8-8-1, 3-4 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Marshfield goalie A.J. Trierweiler had 19 saves in the loss as the Tigers remain winless in conference play at 0-7 and fall to 9-10 overall.

Marshfield plays at Merrill/Wausau East on Thursday at Merrill.
