Spencer boys basketball tops Abbotsford

SPENCER – Jack Bezlyk had 18 points and 10 rebounds to help lift the Spencer boys basketball team to a 58-51 win over Abbotsford in a nonconference game on Monday at Spencer High School.

Austin Bacon added 17 points for the Rockets, who improve to 9-10 with the victory.

Spencer led 25-18 at halftime and held on from there to win for the second time in its last three games.

Aaron Schmeiser scored 20 points to lead Abbotsford (7-12).

Spencer plays at Neillsville on Tuesday and hosts Colby on Friday to wrap up its Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule.
