OSHKOSH – Marshfield High School graduate Adam Fravert is going to the Final Four.

Fravert, a 2016 graduate of Marshfield, is a sophomore forward on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh men’s basketball team that qualified for the NCAA Division III Final Four after a pair of victories in regional action at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., this past weekend.

Oshkosh beat Emory University (Georgia) 93-72 on Friday, March 9, and edged Augustana (Illinois) 95-88 in overtime on Saturday, March 10, to win its bracket and advance to its first Division III Final Four.

Oshkosh (24-7) will take on Ramapo College (New Jersey) (25-6) at 4 p.m. Friday, March 16, in the first of two semifinals at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va. Springfield (Mass.) (22-8) plays Nebraska Wesleyan (28-3) in the other semifinal at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday. The championship game is Saturday, March 17, at 5 p.m.

Fravert had six points, six rebounds and two blocked shots in the win over Augustana. Teammate Ben Boots, a junior from Kimberly, led the Titans with 36 points. He hit eight 3-pointers and made 12 of 23 shots overall.

Against Emory, Fravert made five of 10 shots, including a 3-pointer, and scored 14 points in the victory. He also had seven rebounds, two steals and two assists.

Fravert scored in double digits in both of the Titans’ first two NCAA Tournament games. He had 14 points in a 74-67 victory over Marietta College (Ohio) on March 2 and had 12 points as Oshkosh beat Wittenberg University (Ohio) 68-60 on March 3.

Three of the teams the Titans defeated in the tournament – Wittenberg (No. 3), Emory (No. 6) and Augustana (No. 9) – were ranked in the top 10 of the final d3hoops.com national poll. Oshkosh was ranked 24th.

Fravert has started in all 31 of the Titans’ games this season, averaging 12.4 points per game. He leads the team in rebounding (7.5 per game) and blocked shots (1.3 per game).
