Marshfield Columbus Catholic senior Marissa Immerfall was a first-team selection and Spencer senior Lexi Baehr was named to the second team of the 2017-18 All-Cloverbelt Conference East Division Girls Basketball Team.

Immerfall was one of the six players picked to the first team after the Dons went 8-8 in Cloverbelt East play and 12-11 overall. She led Columbus in scoring (13.1 points per game) and rebounding (6.4 per game), and was second on the team in steals at 2.1 per game.

Baehr averaged 19 points a game for Spencer, which included topping the 20-point mark 13 times. She finishes her steller career with the Rockets with 1,229 points.

“Lexi is a hard working individual that put a lot of time into the sport of basketball during the offseason,” Spencer coach Brian Abel said. “She was a leader on our team and when things weren’t going well, the team looked to her. Lexi is a fierce competitor that battled day in and day out whether that be in practice or games.”

Columbus Catholic also had two players that earned honorable mention status – sophomore Addison Baierl and senior Morgan Albrecht.

Baierl averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in both categories behind Immerfall. She also made 39 3-pointers.

Albecht averaged 11.0 points and a team-high 2.3 steals per game, and made 49 3-pointers.

Owen-Withee junior Jennifer Wendler was named conference Player of the Year. She shared the honor last season. Wendler led the Cloverbelt East in scoring at 21.8 points per game and rebounding at 11.6 rebounds per game.

Other members of the first team were Ashley Streveler and Carley Elmhorst of conference champion Colby, Remi Geiger of Loyal, and Lauren Mesar of Neillsville.

Streveler topped Colby at 13.3 points per game and Elmhorst averaged 10.4 points per game for the Hornets. The two combined for 109 made 3-pointers this season, with Steveler making 55 and Elmhorst 54. Elmhost shot a sizzling 49.1 percent from 3-point range.
