MARSHFIELD – Marshfield volleyball coach Dawn Sadowska said she was disappointed losing to D.C. Everest during the first Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet two weeks ago.

On Thursday, Sadowska and the Tigers got their revenge.

Marshfield rolled past the defending Wisconsin Valley Conference champion Evergreens 25-11, 25-20, 25-22 to pull even in the WVC at 3-3.

Tiffany Stargardt had 21 digs and 15 kills, Darian Molter added 20 digs, setter Sarah Wolff had 27 assists and Kim Johnson had five kills as the Tigers’ frontline dominated.

“We are really pleased with the contributions the entire team made tonight,” Sadowska said. “We talked about going out and winning this match in three, and we followed through with it. I’m really proud of how well everyone played tonight.”

Marshfield will compete at the Neenah Invitational on Saturday before returning to Wisconsin Valley action Tuesday at Merrill.
