Stratford boys basketball pours it on early, dominates Abbotsford

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team knocked down 10 3-pointers and rolled to a 73-37 win over Abbotsford in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday at Stratford High School.

Kaden Griesmer had three 3-pointers and scored 20 points, Camden Daul also hit for 20 points, and Braeden Schueller knocked down five long balls to tally 17 points in the win for the Tigers, who improve to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the Marawood Conference South Division.

Stratford cruised out to a 44-17 lead by halftime as the Tigers went on to win their fifth game in a row and sent Abbotsford to its third-straight loss.

Stratford hosts Wausau Newman Catholic in a battle of Marawood South leaders on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.

Abbotsford (3-8, 1-6 Marawood North) will be at home Monday for a nonconference game against Colby and will host Phillips in Marawood North action on Tuesday.
