OWEN – Steve Esker struck out 13 and did not walk a batter, leading Owen-Withee to a 7-2 win Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Tuesday.

Owen-Withee (4-8, 3-7 Cloverbelt East) scored two runs in the bottom of the first before the Dons (1-9 overall and Cloverbelt East) tied the game with a pair of runs in the second.

That was all Esker would allow as the Blackhawks took the lead with a run in the third and pulled away with a three-run fifth.

Pat Sullivan was 3-for-3 and Bryce DeSmet went 2-for-4 for Columbus.

The Dons return to action Friday with a doubleheader scheduled at Greenwood.
