Marshfield’s Justin Sternweis and Wausau West’s Colin Baine were named co-Wisconsin Valley Conference Wrestlers of the Year, as voted by the conference coaches.
Sternweis won the 182-pound conference championship, while Baine was the 120-pound title winner after each went undefeated in the conference.
Baine went on to win the 120-pound WIAA state championship at last weekend’s WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament, while Sternweis went 2-2 and did not earn a medal at state.
