UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team wins home opener over Western Tech

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team finally hit the home court and came away with a 74-54 win over Western Technical College of La Crosse on Wednesday night at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders, who started their season with four straight road games, opened their home schedule with the resounding win.

Jesse Bejcek had 17 points and Cain Trunkel added 15 points for UW-Marshfield/Wood County (4-1).

The Marauders led 36-25 at halftime and pulled way in the second half to the 20-point win.

Marshfield has off until Monday when it hosts UW-Baraboo at 7 p.m.
