Marshfield boys hockey shut out at Chequamegon/Phillips

PARK FALLS – Joshua Lemke had four goals and Jacob Lemke had three assists and a goal to lead the Chequamegon/Phillips boys hockey team to a dominating 7-0 nonconference win over Marshfield on Saturday.

The Tigers were outshot 41-13 as they couldn’t get a shot past Chequamegon/Phillips goalie Kristen Pechacek.

Scott Berg had 34 saves in the loss for Marshfield (2-3).

Joshua Lemke had two goals in the first 4:04 and added others in the final 2 minutes of the second and third periods.

Chequamegon/Phillips (3-0) had 11 penalties, including five physical penalties by Chad Schnautz that resulted in a misconduct major penalty in the final seconds of the game.

Marshfield hosts Wausau West on Thursday.
