Marshfield boys basketball knocks off Baraboo

CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield boys basketball team improved to 3-1 at home this season with a 60-45 nonconference win over Baraboo on Friday night at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield improves to 7-4 on the season, while Baraboo falls to 2-5.

Marshfield trailed 15-11 after the first quarter and 30-28 at halftime before rolling to an 18-7 third quarter to take the lead for good.

Luke Zuiker scored 26 points, making 10 of 14 shots from the field, to lead Marshfield. Matt Oestreich added 16 points for the Tigers.

Marshfield was 23 of 44 from the field (52 percent) and four players combined for nine steals defensively.

Marshfield is now off until Jan. 14 when it plays hosts Rhinelander.
