Spencer girls basketball snaps nine-game losing streak with win over Granton

SPENCER – Spencer held Granton to just seven points in the first half and defeated the Bulldogs 33-24 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Spencer High School.

The victory snaps a nine-game losing streak for Spencer and raises its record to 3-11 overall and 2-10 in the Cloverbelt East. Granton is now 0-13 and 0-11 in the conference.

Spencer led 17-7 at halftime and was able to maintain its lead in the second half.

Macie Weber scored 14 points to lead the Rockets.

Spencer’s next game is Friday at home against Loyal.
